    Your money at VirtualBank is insured by the FDIC. No checks are issued on the account. You are given free up to six online transfers per monthly statement between your account with them and your existing checking account(s).

    There is no minimum balance required and no fees are charged. Virtual Bank does require an initial deposit of at least $100. The free money is deposited by the bank in your account upon opening. It may not be withdrawn for the first 30 days. There is also a 10 business day hold on deposits during the first 30 days and a 3 business day hold on deposits afterwards, but other than that you can make withdrawals (to your checking account) or close your account at any time.
